Terms and Conditions

Important Information: My cakes are baked in a kitchen where all allergens may be present.

1. When you order your cakes you will choose your cake flavour, and I will discuss with you the design, your preferred colour scheme and any other specific requirements. At that time, I will confirm any allergens known to be present. All ingredients are purchased from reputable suppliers; however, I cannot be responsible for any ingredient contaminated at source. You should note that the cakes are prepared in a kitchen where all allergens may be present.
2. Orders must be placed a minimum of two weeks ahead of delivery and payment in full is required when your order is confirmed.
3. The Lifeboat Bakery is a very small business with limited capacity. At busy times e.g. Mothers Day, Valentines Day, Christmas etc., or for a large or complicated order it is best to book well in advance of the occasion. Depending on how far in advance the order is placed, a non-refundable 50% deposit may be requested with the balance due two weeks before delivery.
4. Orders can be delivered within the L37 postcode for a nominal charge. For deliveries outside of L37 but within the general Liverpool/Southport/Ormskirk area please contact me. I regret that I cannot ship cakes at this time.
5. Alternatively, cakes may be collected directly from The Lifeboat Bakery. Cakes for collection will be supplied in a sturdy container. I would recommend transporting your cake in a vehicle.
6. Please note I cannot take any responsibility for damage to your cake once it has been collected from The Lifeboat Bakery.
7. Don’t leave your cakes in the car, expose them to heat or store them in the fridge, instead store in a cool dry place. To enjoy them at their best, eat within 3 days.
